As the pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the travel industry we've seen several airlines bombard us with sales and all kinds of promotions. Hotels are right along with them as almost all hotel chains have some kind of promotion right now. Hilton had the Double Rewards rolled out the other week and now Marriott just launched its own promotion.
Aside from already very discounted prices on rooms, Marriott Bonvoy now lets you buy or gift points with a 50% points bonus.

Back in May Marriott Bonvoy offered a similar promo to somehow get cash since it wasn't getting any new bookings when Marriott saw a global drop of 95% from the pandemic.
Seeing all these airlines and hotels offering a slew of different promotions is an indication that the travel industry is still desperately trying to bounce back.
