If you've ever tried to book flights to Busuanga or Puerto Princesa in the past, you'll notice its kinda pricey for a domestic destination. This is because smaller planes usually fly to these destinations and the demand is usually high year round allowing the current airlines to price them high.
It might just get cheaper in the future as a new airline in the Philippines is set to make its mark in domestic aviation and add to the competition. Sunlight Air has just announced the destinations it will serve and is primarily catering to Busuanga and Puerto Princesa.
Established in July last year, Sunlight Air's fleet comprises of three ATR 72-500, a 70 seater twin-engine turboprop. Although it is still unclear when Sunlight Air can start to operate as the country is still currently dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
