Singapore Airlines co-branded credit card holders have a lot to celebrate right now with the new on going promotion where you can earn PPS value and elite miles without flying.
For having either one of the EastWest Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer credit card you can earn 1 elite mile for every 5 KrisFlyer miles earned and 1 PPS value for every 10 KrisFlyer miles earned. You can also earn the same amount from transferring your points balance from other credit card partners to your KrisFlyer account, but there is a minimum conversion amount of 10,000 points. Additionally, you can earn 3 elite miles with every 1 SGD spend on KrisShop.
Although I have no plans on getting any airline elite status, click here to know why, I wouldn't mind getting status without having to do any extra spending or flying.
Singapore has been one of the more strict countries in Asia to enforce their travel ban and losing millions of dollars they are losing each day. By selling airline miles to credit card companies and banks it helps them stay afloat.
As of today there are no flights to Singapore from the Philippines via Singapore Airlines until November and don't expect them adding any flights soon as the Philippines has been really slow with the Covid-19 vaccine rollout.
The Singapore-Hong Kong travel bubble has also been delayed twice now because of some minor uptick in cases from both countries so don't expect Philippines to be added to that bubble this year.
The promotion runs until the February of 2022 so if you still don't have the co-branded card you can still catch up and apply for one now.
